UI & UX 2010
Overview
During the launch of Samsung Smart TV in India in 2009-2010, the UX team in Bangalore, India was tasked with designing and developing 500 apps for the Indian market's app store. As an Interaction and Graphical User Interface designer, I played a significant role in this project and successfully designed 30 high-quality smart TV apps. The apps were well-received and I even received recognition in the form of awards for my contributions to the project. It was a rewarding experience to be a part of such a significant initiative in the Indian market.

Book Cricket is a game designed for Samsung Smart TV that brings the excitement of cricket to the TV screen. Users can score runs by flipping book pages in an interactive and engaging gameplay experience. With intuitive controls and captivating visuals, Book Cricket offers entertainment for cricket enthusiasts of all ages.
Traffic Jam game
Traffic Jam is an engaging app designed for Samsung Smart TV that puts users' problem-solving skills to the test. In this game, players are challenged to navigate through a crowded parking lot and find a way to come out of the traffic jam.
Mission 50 Capitals
Mission 50 Capitals is an educational app designed for Samsung Smart TV that aims to enhance users' knowledge of capital cities around the world. With this app, users can test their geography skills and learn the capitals of different countries with adventures & action story.
Gullak (Piggy Bank)
designed to educate and engage children in the concept of saving money. With its interactive and user-friendly interface, the app introduces young users to the importance of financial literacy and instills good saving habits from an early age.
Solaro Learning
Solaro Learning is an innovative educational app designed for Samsung Smart TV, with Solaro Learning, users can access a wide range of educational content, including textbooks and study materials. The app provides a user-friendly interface that allows users to browse through different subjects, topics, and chapters, making it easy to find relevant content for their learning needs.
My Movies Trailer
Offering users a delightful movie-watching experience. With this app, users can explore and watch the latest movie trailers right from their TV screens. The app features a wide selection of movie trailers from various genres, allowing users to stay up-to-date with the latest releases and upcoming films.
Map Directory
With this app, users can easily access maps, get directions, and explore various locations right from their TV screens. Whether users want to find their way to a new destination, save their favorite places for future reference, or add personal notes to specific locations.
Slider Puzzle
users are presented with a scrambled image divided into square blocks. The objective is to slide the blocks around the game board to recreate the original image. Players can move one block at a time, either horizontally or vertically, until all blocks are in their correct positions.
Zamato Restaurant search app
Zamato is a restaurant browsing and review app designed for Samsung Smart TV. With Zamato, users can easily explore a wide range of restaurants in their area. The app provides detailed information about each restaurant, including their cuisine, location, contact details, and opening hours. Users can browse through various categories such as popular restaurants, trending places, or search for specific cuisines or dishes.
Result
During my time designing and developing apps for Samsung Smart TV, I had the opportunity to work on around 30 apps independently. I also conducted training sessions for the development team, educating them on how to effectively use the designs and style guides I created
My efforts and contributions were highly appreciated by the design leader, and as a result, I received several awards for my work. I was honored with the "Spot Award" and "Stylist Award" for my exceptional performance. Additionally, I was part of a team that received the "Beyond Boundaries" award, recognizing our collaborative efforts in pushing the boundaries of innovation.
I also observed increased downloads for some of the apps I designed, indicating a positive response from the users. This was a rewarding experience, knowing that my designs were resonating with the audience and driving engagement.
Overall, the project allowed me to showcase my skills, contribute to the success of the Samsung Smart TV app store, and receive recognition for my achievements.
